Botanical Cyanotypes

Cyanotype is an alternative photographic process that creates a lovely blueprint of an image or object.

 

Wendy uses the medium of cyanotype in part as a visual diary of her hikes in nature and her interactions with plants, trees, and the Great Lake on which she lives. She employs cyanotype to produce direct botanical prints, as well as cyanotypes made from negatives.

 

Prints are hand-painted with the cyanotype chemical on archival fine art paper. Original prints are available in the Shop. The original works are available until they sell out. Fine art prints are available in various sizes and substrates here.
