This experimental ceramic piece explores the interrelationship between form, ecology, and memory. The organic curvature of the bowl is a deliberate reference to the undulating tree line of the northern forest, while the cedar imprint offers a direct indexical mark of the natural world. Through materiality and botanical impression, the work investigates the role of embodied interaction with place—positioning craft as both a sensorial archive and a site of ecological reverence.

CARE
Stoneware ceramic items are dishwasher safe, however, we recommend hand washing. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. Some of the thinner pieces are more delicate, a feature that adds to their beauty. The more sturdy pieces do fine in the dishwasher. Unless noted otherwise, the stoneware and porcelain items are food-safe.
 
If you ordered a trinket dish with gold trim or mother-of-pearl glaze, the item is meant to hold items other than food. These items are not food-safe and should be stored out of direct sunlight. These items can be cleaned with a soft cloth.
 
STORAGE
For storage, I suggest putting a paper towel or dish pads between dish sets to prevent scratching. If you desire stackable, standardized plates, I am happy to provide a quote for a commission that meets your needs.
